Aston Martin THOR Team open their doors to young people looking for workplace immersion. They recently hosted Hugo, a trainee on a discovery programme. Initially a short-term arrangement, the experience led to a job contract.
Month after month, Hugo worked alongside the technical teams. Today, he assembles car parts and contributes to sub-assembly operations at the team headquarters. His path perfectly illustrates Aston Martin THOR Team’s intention of providing hands-on opportunities to discover the full spectrum of motorsport.
The desire to pass on knowledge and know-how also drives the team’s involvement in the Garage École du Mans scheme.
In the week prior to the 2026 event, Aston Martin THOR Team hosted a student within their race set-up, offering incomparable experience to a young enthusiast.
By seeing the engineers at work, observing the preparation of a Hypercar first-hand, and comprehending the organisation of a team entered in the world’s greatest endurance race, the trainee perceived the reality behind the job title.
